About Our Program
The Health Technology Program introduces students to fields in Health and the Medical field. Students have the opportunity to work in a nursing facility to truly develop their patient skills. Health Technology students have also been involved in programs and symposiums at Springfield Technical Community College and Greenfield Community College.
With a focus on the development of essential skills, this is the ideal program for the outgoing, compassionate student interested in entering the growing field of healthcare. Patient care a top priority, and our students receive instruction in anatomy and physiology, growth and development, medical terminology, aging, infectious disease, mental health, and nutrition. Clinical experiences at area facilities expose students to healthcare roles in long term care, acute care, rehabilitation, Alzheimer’s, hospice nursing care, and working with those with developmental disabilities.
